Greetings, "Alleged Community Leader!" This forum sounds like fun. Hope you and all readers have a good 2008. I hope everyone fired or laid off by PGT, Waterford, and other companies finds a better job. My heart goes out to them. I hope Venice High School gets rebuilt. It is a disgrace - like some inner city ghetto school! The public would be outraged if they saw it. I hope tourists keep coming and people buy homes and condos. Otherwise the chain-reaction will be our favorite shops and restaurants closing and our friends and families losing their jobs (I wonder if the anti-growth people would be so strident if all of a sudden their unemployed kids and grandkids had to move in with them?). I hope it rains more. I wish people would learn to disagree without being disagreeable. I wish when you read Police Beat you'd see someone over 65 getting popped for DUI for a change. Appearently if you're a geezer you get a pass to drive home bombed on Manhattans and prescriptions after Yacht Club bingo night, but if your name is Sanchez or Rodriguez your screwed. I hope the local press starts actually reporting the facts. I also hope Angelina Jolie wants to have my love child. Both are equally likely. I hope we all are able to pay our bills, spend fun time with our families and friends, speak truthfully and openly against the rising tide of selfishness that is our modern society, and learn to laugh.
